I am currently enrolled in Miami University and expect to graduate in Spring 2014. I am a highly-motivated, fast-learning developer who thrives in fast paced creative environments. From January until August, 2013 I am living in San Francisco working in the tech industry. My decision to move was influenced greatly by my participation in Start-Up Weekend. Summer 2012 I worked at Marathon Petroleum designing web applications to support refinery operations. At my exit evaluation I was give a 5/5 on technical abilities. At Miami University I held the position of Vice President of Engineers Without Borders in which I helped organize and implement two "clean water" projects (one in Ecuador and the other in Rwanda). I am most interested in web and mobile app development and have experience in both these fields.

At Marathon Petroleum I worked in the IT - Refining, Financial, and Operations Applications department. My main project involved designing a web application and the corresponding web services from the ground up. I also worked in a group investigating social media and how it could be leveraged to help inter-company operations.

Student at Engineers Without Borders

Engineers Without Borders is a group dedicated to leveraging student skills to improve the living conditions of underprivileged communities. As the Vice President at the Miami University chapter I helped organize, plan, and implement these projects. I developed relationships with professionals, who helped students with the technical portion of these projects, and community leaders who helped fund these endeavors. I was able to apply my skills from my classes to help analyze and provide solutions for two "clean water" projects. I also traveled to both Ecuador and Rwanda to implement both projects in the communities.
